Susanne Schaeffer, Esq

Prior to her work as an Attorney Recruitment Manager at Mayer Brown and Holland & Knight managing the recruitment of lateral partners, senior counsel and associates, Susanne had success as a Recruiting Director with Major, Lindsey & Africa, specializing in partner placements in the Southeast. Susanne has experience working with top lateral partners, groups and office openings from both sides of the transaction.

Prior to recruiting, Susanne practiced law in Georgia and is admitted to practice in the Georgia Superior Court, Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Bar.  Prior to law school, Susanne served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the Healthcare industry, working with Ophthalmologists in producing surgical packs for cataract and retinal procedures.

Susanne earned her JD from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia and her B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Susanne is committed to giving back to the profession. She is a past Member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and also served as the President of the Foundation Board.

She was a founding member of the Board of Ellevate Network in Atlanta - a Global Professional Women’s Network and has been a life long supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  She spent many years on the Committee Board for St. Jude Southern Evening of Hope Gala in Atlanta to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Susanne was born in Chicago, raised in Wisconsin and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She is an enthusiastic sports fan and enjoys watching her Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers as well as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets where her daughter graduated.
